Angry Ghanaian youth has gathered at the Obra Spot at Kwame Nkrumah Circle – Accra in collaboration with Arise Ghana, a bi-partisan group to demonstrate against the current President and government for the hardships in the country.
Some of the grievances being brought to bare bothers on the high unemployment rate in the country, hikes in the prices of fuel prices and others whereas government is more concerned with the building of a National Cathedral.
The demonstrators can be pegged at many in numbers considering the fact that today, Tuesday 28th June is a non-holiday and the organization of the demonstration faced pushback both from the police and government.
This demonstration in conjunction with many already held by other groups and many more to be held by Arise Ghana as indicated by the leadership of the demonstrators seeks to express the displeasure with the manner by which the current President Nana Akuffo Addo led government is running the affairs Ghana. Ghanaians deem the current government as corrupt, unlistening and defiant to the plights of the citizens.
