Akyem Batabi: Taxi driver who saved 17 lives in the collapsed church building gets an Army job

A taxi driver based in Akyem Batabi in the Eastern region of Ghana has been recruited into the Ghana Army following his heroic actions which led to saving numerous lives in the collapsed church building.

His good works has had his fortunes turned around. In a post sighted on social media the young man through his selfless work in saving that many lives who were trapped in the collapsed building has won hearts all over.

After the news went widespread that his rare effort helped save some 17 people trapped in the church building, the Ghana Army decided to honour him with a job.
It is yet to be established what role/ unit he has been appointed.

Ghpage earlier gave a report that a three-storey church building belonging to the Church of Promise collapsed at Akyem Batabi in the Eastern Region, trapping some worshippers.

About 65 persons were trapped under the collapsed church in Akyem Batabi.The church members had gathered to pray for their pastor (leader) who has been sick for some time now. It was during their prayer that the unfortunate incident happened.
