Two (2) military men whose identity has been withheld by the police have been arrested by the Bonwire Police Command for assaulting a 28-year-old woman Mrs. Yaa Boatemaa Agyapong for refusing to vacate her late husband’s house.
According to reports available to MyNewsGh.com, two military men stormed Mrs Yaa Boatemaa Agyapong house on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 around 6:00 am and ordered her to vacate the premises
Mother of the victim, Madam Abena Serwaa who narrates the incident to Pure FM’s Osei Kwadwo said “The house was built by my daughter’s husband and he gave it to my daughter but the family of my daughter’s late husband is demanding the ownership of the property”.
According to her “my daughter’s sister-in-law Nana Ama came to the house with two military men to eject my daughter from her husband house.
“They started attacking my daughter because she refused to move out from her husband’s house. The soldiers vandalized properties in the house and we reported the case to Bonwire Police Command”.
She said “they told my daughter to produce documents to prove that her late husband gave the house to her and my daughter told them to take her to court if they need the documents”
Mrs Yaa Boatemaa Agyapong has been treated and discharged by Ejisu government hospital.
Meanwhile, a source at Bonwire Police Command has confirmed the arrest of the two military men including the victim sister-in-law.
According to the Source, the case will be transferred to Ejisu District Police Command for further investigation.
The soldiers are in the custody of the Bonwire Police.
